Dembélé Crowned 2025 Ballon d’Or Winner After Historic Treble with PSG

Paris, France — Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé has been awarded the 2025 Ballon d’Or, cementing his place among football’s elite after an extraordinary 2024-25 season.

The 28-year-old delivered a career-defining campaign, scoring 35 goals and registering 16 assists in 53 appearances. His decisive performances led PSG to a historic treble triumph — lifting the Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de France, and the club’s first ever UEFA Champions League crown.

The award ceremony, held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, saw Dembélé edge out Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal, who finished second following his own breakout season. Dembélé succeeds Manchester City’s Rodri, the 2024 winner.

In his acceptance speech, Dembélé described the Ballon d’Or as the “greatest honor” of his career and dedicated the accolade to his family, teammates, and the PSG supporters who backed him throughout the journey.

This marks the first time a PSG player has claimed the Ballon d’Or, a milestone that underlines both Dembélé’s resurgence at the highest level and the club’s growing stature on the European stage.
